SharePoint Updates:

Microsoft Roadmap ID’s:

53229 | 53228 | 53221 | 53222

August is going to be a busy month for SharePoint updates! Microsoft is rolling out some great new web parts and updating existing ones to look and function even better. While these new and updated web parts are very exciting, they haven’t spent much time on the Microsoft Roadmap.

All items were only added THIS July, so you or your administrator might not even know about them! While I’m excited about the quick turn around I’m eager to get my hands on them.

Button Web Part

you will be able to provide text on the button itself and load content for the user

Call to Action

you can provide text and a background image

World Clock

you can add individual locations or a collection of locations

There are only 4 IDs associated with this roll out, but I’ve tried to break them down to make it clearer. We have the *NEW* web parts, but we are also getting some awesome updates on existing web parts that are already near and dear to our hearts.

Microsoft if wasting no time is getting this rolled out either! Roll out to begin early August to Targeted Release customers. Worldwide roll out is expected to be completed by the end of October.
